Tailor, a native of Bowling Green, is board-certified in internal medicine and advanced cardiac life support, and is employed by Norton Healthcare. She previously served as vice speaker of the KMA House of Delegates as well as on numerous KMA commissions and committees.
She was president of the Greater Louisville Medical Society in 2020-2021 and now chairs the GLMS board. She has received several community leadership awards.
In her inaugural address, Tailor discussed her goals for the year, including a focus on “rejuvenating medicine,” given the challenges the profession has faced over the last several years.
“For those of us working in healthcare, the Covid-19 pandemic has left an indelible mark on our lives. Stress and burnout are at an all-time high in our profession, while mistrust and misinformation among our patients could be considered an epidemic in itself," Tailor said in a news release. "Now more than ever, we need to come together as physicians to combat these issues and reinvigorate ourselves so that we can continue to provide the best care for the people of the commonwealth."
