Six substance-use treatment centers get $1 million each from feds

Six Kentucky programs to treat substance-use disorder will each get $1 million from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as part of the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program, established by Congress to reduce substance abuse and the illness and death it causes by easing residents’ access to treatment.

The $1 million grants are going to Baptist Health Corbin, Albany's Foothills Academy, Prestonsburg's Mountain Comprehensive Care Center, Morehead's St. Claire Medical Center, Northern Kentucky University and Westcare Kentucky of Ashcamp.
